Castello di Rivoli
Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea
Free entrance for members of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and a 10% discount at the bookshop
Overlooking the mouth of the Valle di Susa, the Castle consists of an imposing Baroque building, part of a grandiose project begun in 1718 by the architect Filippo Juvarra for Vittorio Amedeo II, as well as the ‘Manica Lunga’, the mid-17th century construction for the picture gallery of Duke Carlo Emanuele I. Resumed at the end of the 18th century by Carlo Randoni, the project was never completed. In 1979 the regional government of Piedmont awarded the restoration of the Castle to the architect Andrea Bruno. Since 1984 it has hosted the Contemporary Art Museum.Over more than 20 years, the Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea has distinguished itself as an eminent contemporary art institution in terms of both its permanent collection and international exhibition programme. At the heart of the collection is a core of works and large-scale installations from the Italian movement Arte Povera, brought together with examples of the Italian Transavanguardia, Minimal Art, Body Art and Land Art to make up what has become the most important contemporary art collection in Italy.

Galleria Civica di Trento
Free entrance for members of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
The new project for the Galleria Civica di Trento has arisen to seal the open-ended collaboration with those in the town: residents, tourists, individuals who are here on a transitory or improvised basis—and who nevertheless already offer and receive much in terms of culture and training—and with groups today cut out from quality social relations. The Galleria’s activities will be developed on themes which will range from the latest art to 19th and 20th-century projects, exploring the languages of art and architecture. Moreover, the Galleria Civica encourages the training, product and distribution of local artists, and draws the interest of researchers, curators, gallery owners and cultural operators.
