mantova creativa

Following the success of our previous projects (Connections in 2012, I live! I join in! in 2013, Home in 2014), the Peggy Guggenheim Collection takes part once more in "Mantova Creativa", a festival of the City of Mantua which is dedicated this year to the theme HUNGER. It takes place from May 29 to June 2, 2015.

With the support of LUBIAM, classes of every grade and level of schools in Mantua and its environs will have the opportunity to host a free creative laboratory titled Gessato, designed and organized by the artist Giulia Filippi. Gessato is an intentional double entendre referring both to pinstriped fabric and to plaster casts.

The project includes a closing event dedicated to the participating pupils and their families which will take place Friday May 29 during the "Mantova Creativa" festival.
